About the composer
Benjamin Davidson grew up in a deeply musical household, enveloped by music from an early age. Inspired by this environment, he began his own musical pursuit in elementary school by learning the violin and performing in orchestra until the end of middle school. After graduating, his passion shifted toward songwriting. During high school, Benjamin taught himself guitar, bass, and piano, spending his free time crafting original songs. This creative exploration soon led him to compose his own pieces on sheet music. For his college applications, Benjamin wrote and recorded some of his earliest compositions, a portfolio that earned him admission to Chapman University, where he completed his undergraduate studies.
During his time at Chapman University, Benjamin immersed himself in all aspects of the musical world. He composed for a diverse array of ensembles and styles, while also performing both in groups and as a piano soloist. Originally dedicated to the classical tradition, Benjamin concentrated on refining his abilities as a concert pianist and composer. His journey eventually led him to score his first short film in 2024, marking a significant milestone in his expanding artistic repertoire. From this point forward, Benjamin would shift his focus toward composing for film, scoring a variety of projects, and finding consistent collaborators.
